Private Interest Foundations

The Private Interest Foundations (PIF) were created by Law 25 of June 12, 1995 with characteristic of organization of the Corporations and of the administration of Trusts.

Our legislation made of the foundations a complement of the Corporations for familiar, religious, social or charity welfare.

For the case of the familiar purpose the PIF may be used for planning of the capital, whether for use of the living founder or the beneficiaries or to be effective after the founder´s death in which case, the procedure of Succession Lawsuit shall be exempted to make the transference of the assets forming the PIF. We invite you to know more of this juridical figure and the great benefits it offers. Therefore, Medina & Asociados furnish you with a form of Constitution of Foundation of Private Interest, which shall help you to legalize the foundation through our service and quality under the strictest confidentiality.

The Trust

It is a very effective legal act created by Law 1 of January 5, 1984. It is a legal figure very similar to what is known as Trust in other laws.

It consists of a person called Trust or transferring assets that may be of any nature, present or future and determined or over all or part of it, to a person called Trustee to administer or dispose of them in favor of a Trustee or Beneficiary.
